ALLOY WASTELAND
Welcome ladies and gents to the first ever to be seen, world premiere of ALLOY WASTELAND! This here is a very colorful site designed to enlighten your poor ignorant souls to an amazing, innovative, and I dare say fun game. -Sadly it's in development.
However do not despair, this is good, really. It gives you time to look at it and help me improve and make the game better. I'm always open to new, wonderful, and inspired ideas, that is of course if they are truly new/wonderful/or inspired. At least I'm not like drama teachers! (crowd hisses) Anyway give me feedback; feed me back until I explode and the project ends with my demise.
Now a brief overview what this thing actually is.
- Alloy Wasteland is a pencil and paper RPG.
- The setting of the game is post-apocalyptic, but not in a Mad Max way, no. It is on a collapsed super advanced city world. Go to the story page to learn more.
- Players will have access to crude medieval gear, as well as having the ability to get the ancient technology working again that has been derelict for centuries. Spend your time getting a fusion cell working or just get really good at throwing a sharpened stick, your choice!
- The game is NOT intended to be singly combat oriented. Obviously combat is going to happen a lot in Alloy Wasteland, but importance will be stressed on the Game Master's ability to weave a beautiful fantasy with goals.
- Because story will be important, "social traits" (IE Charisma) will actually be useful. This is not intended to be D&D with guns.
- The abandoned (and sometimes crumbling) giant cityscape will be home to technology heavy camps, vicious raiders, anti-technology tribal societies, ravenous wildlife, reemerging wilderness, and of course poor SOBs just trying to survive. I would be interested in any ideas you have for wild animals, or anything else for that matter.
